A Summary of 26 Years

I was born in Alicante, Spain, to a German mother and English/Spanish father and so grew up as a native speaker of all three languages.

I hit my first golf ball at the age of four and as so many others do, I followed in my parents´ footsteps and I found competing a lot of fun.

There were two things which I enjoyed: art and sport. So I attended High School in Spain, finished the British Curriculum and went to College at the University of Miami, Florida, USA on a full scholarship where I obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with 120 credits in 2015 when I was 20 years old. During the four years in Miami I played golf on the national college team where I competed at a high amateur level, playing throughout the USA.

In September 2015 I turned Pro and obtained my full card on the Ladies European Tour and the Chinese LPGA. I went on to play these tours for 2 years where I was awarded "Rookie of the year" award. In 2017 I gained partial status on the LPGA through Q-school where I began my season in Hawaii. I am currently a member of all tours and play around the world.

I feel very passionate about growing women’s golf. I believe that as a touring professional, one of my many roles is to promote the game for women and young girls. Golf has lead me to travel, meeting thousands of people around the world from different cultures and walks of life. Golf has given me endless opportunities from a very young age. It has enabled me to get a scholarship in America and attend a very prestigious University. Through golf I have been able to connect with people and I have created some long lasting friendships and everlasting memories.

My Coaches

I have been very fortunate to have my swing coach since I started playing golf: Jose Manuel Carriles is among the best in the world. He grew up with Severiano Ballesteros and he is himself a great player, now on the European Senior Tour.  His knowledge and understanding of the golf swing together with his passion for the game, make him special.

At the University of Miami under Head Coach Patti Rizzo and John Koskinen, I played on the team for four years never missing a tournament except 2 due to injury. I always got on great with Head Coach Patti Rizzo as our golf games have much in common and now that I am playing in Asia, I often recall that Patti herself played sucessfully on the Japanese Tour for many years.

Fitness and Wellbeing

From the experiences I have gathered throughout the years, I have gained a lot of knowledge on what my body requires and what it needs to perform at it´s best.

A lot of people might believe that golfers don´t need to work out because it is not so physically demanding like many other sports. However, I have found that to play at the highest level, I need to maintain a high level of concentration for 6 hours week are week. Exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle has enabled me to perform at a high level.

Whilst I am at home, I like to cook and exercise outdoors. I do specific golf exercises combined with strength training and cardio.

On the road, I listen to my body. My focus is on golf but I like to keep a fitness routine on tournament weeks. These would mainly be for maintenance.

MY HOBBIES

When I was younger I tried various sports intensively: tennis, Tae Kwon Do and wind surfing, but golf just took over.

Besides sport, my other great love is art. I have painted since a very early age and I was fortunate to be able to study what I really liked at University. Since then I have discovered and dabble with other artistic forms such as photography.

I feel very fortunate to be able to pursue both activities and will continue to do so as long as possible.

Painting has a therapeutic effect on me as it helps me relax from the stress of competition golf.
